St. Croix Fly Rods
St. Croix was founded in 1948 by brothers Bob and Bill Johnson in Unity Wisconsin. Their original product, cedar nets, proved to be too expensive for the average sportsman. Innovation took hold when they cut down a cane rod into three pieces and fitted them together with brass ferrules. A local hardware merchant immediately ordered 500 rods and the St. Croix Rod Company was born.
Today St. Croix manufactures and hand assembles quality graphite fly fishing rods in all varieties of power and action depending on the type of fishing you want to do.
The Legend Elite, Legend Ultra, Avid, Reign and Triumph Series make up the current lineup of graphite Fly Fishing rods.
